French translation and synthesis of IOC consensus positions
In the early 2000s, the IOC's Medical and Scientific Commission initiated the "consensus statements" process. By bringing together a large panel of experts on a specific issue, an exhaustive review of the literature is proposed and practical, concrete recommendations are issued on the basis of this state of scientific knowledge. These "consensus statements" represent the most up-to-date and validated level of knowledge on a given topic. However, like most scientific and clinical resources, these documents are relayed in English, which limits their wide distribution to a French-speaking audience.
The aim of ReFORM is to fill this gap by providing high-level theoretical and practical knowledge on injury prevention to a wide audience of French-speaking stakeholders, through complete translations of consensus statements, summaries of key messages and detailed infographics.
These materials are published alternately every 2-3 months in the Journal de Traumatologie du Sport (JTS) and Science & Sport (S&S). A first editorial, co-published in both journals, presents the project in greater detail.
