Translation of the IOC Consensus Statements
January 25, 2026In the early 2000s, the IOC Medical and Scientific Commission initiated the development of consensus position papers, known as “consensus statements.” By bringing together a broad panel of experts around a specific issue, these initiatives provide a comprehensive review of the literature and issue practical, evidence-based recommendations grounded in the current state of scientific knowledge. These consensus statements represent the most up-to-date and validated level of knowledge available on the topic addressed. However, like most scientific and clinical resources, they are published in English, which limits their widespread dissemination among French-speaking audiences.
ReFORM aims to bridge this gap by providing high-level theoretical and practical knowledge on injury prevention to a broad French-speaking audience through full translations of consensus statements, summaries highlighting key messages, and detailed infographics.
These materials are published alternately every 2–3 months in the Journal de Traumatologie du Sport (JTS) and Science & Sport (S&S). A first editorial, co-published in both journals, presents this project in greater detail.
All materials produced are available on our “Resources” page.
