PI’s members

Dr Sébastien Le Garrec is the Medical Director at INSEP Paris. As a physician specialised in Sports Medicine and Traumatology, he followed several professional teams including basketball and handball.

His sweet spot? Swimming! Along with other experts, Sébastien follows French swimmers on their way top the (Olympic) top.

When he’s not supporting the INSEP crew, you can find Sébastien taking care of his family and his 5 kids sure keep him busy!

Dr Suzanne Leclerc is the medical director at INS Québec. Specialised in sports and exercice medicine, her particular interest is in sport-related concussions, topic of her doctoral studies.

Closely supporting her athletes for over than 20 years, she follows national teams up to the Olympic Games.

Beyond her many professional activities, Suzanne enjoys the outdoors during both summer (hiking, cycling) and winter times (snowshoeing, cross-country skiing)!

Prof. Romain Seil is an orthopaedic surgeon and leads the Division of Neurosciences and Musculoskeletal Diseases at the Centre Hospitalier de Luxembourg. Former handball payer, he specialised in knee surgery and is particularly fond of ligament and meniscus surgeries. His academic achievements thereon have been consistent over the past two decades.

Romain has been actively involved in multiple international Scientific Societies. He also co-developed the Luxembourgish Olympic Medical Centre for high-level athletes.

Prof. Jean-François Kaux is a medical doctor, specialized in sports traumatology. He leads the Department of Sports Medicine and Traumatology (Sports2) at the Liège University Hospital (CHU Liège) also recognized as FIMS (International Federation of Sports Medicine) Collaborative Center and FIFA Centre (International Federation of Association Football).

Jean-François is also a member of the medical commission of the Belgian Olympic and Interfederal Committee (COIB) as well as a lecturer at the University of Liège.  

Besides work, Jean-François likes to go on vacation and explore the world with his family, play sports and especially running trails- when he finds the time!

The other ReFORM’s members

Philippe Tscholl, Orthopaedic Surgeon and Sports Medicine specialist, is Senior Consultant at the Geneva University Hospitals for Knee Surgery and Sports Traumatology and Medical Director of the Swiss Olympic Medical Center.

He is in charge of the Swiss National Football team, team physician of several local American Football, Rugby and Volleyball teams, and has participated at several European Youth Olympic Festivals and Under-18 IIHF World Championships.
